Managing Your PayPal Donations

Thank you for supporting our congregation! If you’ve donated through PayPal, you can easily manage your donations, view history, or update recurring gifts directly in your PayPal account. Below is a step-by-step guide. You’ll need to log in to your PayPal account at paypal.com or via the PayPal app.

1. Viewing Your Donation History (For One-Time and Recurring Donations)

Review past donations to see details like date, amount, and status.

On the Website:

  1. Log in to paypal.com.
  2. Go to Activity (or History).
  3. Search or filter for transactions to our organization (e.g., by “Donation” or date range).
  4. Click a transaction for details and receipts.

In the PayPal App:

  1. Open the app and log in.
  2. Tap Activity.
  3. Search or filter by “Donations” or our organization’s name.

Downloading Reports: From Activity > Download, get a PDF or CSV report for up to 7 years.

Note: If routed through PayPal Giving Fund, use the Donation Tracker from your receipt email.

2. Managing One-Time Donations

One-time donations can’t be edited after completion, but you can request refunds if needed (typically within 180 days).

  • Request a Refund: Contact us via the transaction details in Activity. We’ll process it from our account.
  • View/Print Receipts: Click the transaction and select “Show receipt.”
No Further Action Needed: Unless requesting a refund.

3. Managing Recurring Donations (Subscriptions)

For monthly or ongoing gifts, update, pause, or cancel anytime—past donations remain unaffected.

On the Website:

  1. Log in to paypal.com.
  2. Click Settings (gear icon).
  3. Under Payments, select Automatic payments.
  4. Click Subscriptions and saved businesses.
  5. Find our subscription and click Manage to:
    • Update payment method (card, bank, or balance).
    • Edit amount/frequency (if allowed).
    • Cancel: Select and confirm—future payments stop immediately.

In the PayPal App:

  1. Open the app and tap Wallet.
  2. Tap Automatic payments.
  3. Select our subscription.
  4. Tap Manage to update or Remove to cancel.
Important: Canceled subscriptions can’t be reactivated—set up a new one via our donation form. View history in Activity.

Additional Tips

  • Security: All changes are secure within PayPal—no need to share details with us.
  • No Fees: Managing or canceling is free for you.
  • Help: Visit PayPal’s Help Center or contact support via chat/phone.
  • No PayPal Account? Guest donors (card payments) should create an account with their email for tracking.
